Lunchbox.com started with my friend, since middle school, and I reminiscing about our favorite childhood lunch boxes. Our memories of unbuckling the lock, pulling out our thermos of cold milk, while casually peeking to see what we might trade our chips for ... made us long to find our favorite lunch boxes. We went to this newly invented thing called The Internet and we surfed the world wide web. 
We soon found that there was a void and that kids were only able to buy new lunch boxes in August just for back to school. So we decided that something needed to be done. After putting in some late nights, we created a site to sell these magnificent emblems of childhood. We started selling vintage boxes but quickly discovered there was a demand for high quality new lunch boxes for kids of all ages, 2-88 years!
We launched LunchboxShop.com in 2000 in the garage of my parents house. Within a few months time, our business was really growing and we moved into my parent's living room, and then den. When my mother handed me a newspaper with warehouses circled, we took the hint and found a small warehouse in Silverlake, California. We quit our “day” jobs and committed to selling lunch boxes full time.
Over time we moved into a larger space and then changed our name to Lunchboxes.com, finally settling on Lunchbox.com.
Many years have passed, 16 to be exact! And while our lives have changed ... we now have families of our own, our dedication to selling only the highest quality products we can find has never faltered. We provide the most unique and great quality lunch boxes, so that our mothers, fathers
and other family members can focus on sending their loved ones off to work or school with nutritious food. We understand these are not just lunch boxes but childhood memories being made.
We are so happy that the majority of our visitors are repeat customers coming to us year after year so we may help meet their family's lunch needs. We are also very proud of the relationships we have created with many business large and small needing memorable marketing tools. To date we have shipped to The Gap, Coca Cola, Oakland Raiders (we're big fans), General Mills, Chipotle, the U.S Armed Services (hoorah!) and many, many others.
